Vibra­tions, fre­quent load changes and move­ments of the pipe, e.g. with pipe spir­als, can cause dam­age to the seal­ing cones of the pipes and seats and the threads of the pipes to break off at their end. This does not hap­pen with Vibrotight fit­tings. We also con­sider them more effect­ive than seal­ing rings that are placed behind the col­lars in the gland nut or espe­cially col­lars that are sup­posed to clamp the pipe at the same time. The reas­on is the sep­ar­a­tion of gland nut and clamp­ing ring, which are also tightened with dif­fer­ent torques.
